Four ways to back a subnet.

Each one is a term the owner publishes and the investor prices on today's chain. Scroll, or pick one.

How it works

From listing to payout.

Funds move wallet to wallet. The platform never holds them. It watches the chain and keeps the record.

01Owner proves the subnetSigns with the coldkey the chain lists as owner. Investors sign with a funded coldkey.
02Owner posts termsSize, lock, share of owner emission per 1,000 τ, discount, collateral, escrow.
03Investor prices themLive pool and emission plus the investor's own outlook. Four options, one answer.
04Both sign, escrow holdsCounter until it fits. Both wallets sign. Collateral goes to the escrow.
05Chain confirms, payouts trackedFunding, collateral and every payout are confirmed from the chain. Nobody reports anything.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does a term sheet contain?
The size range in TAO, the lock in years, the share of owner emission per 1,000 τ for each option, the OTC discount, how many months of collateral each locked option carries, the escrow that holds it, and who may see the sheet.
How is the net return at exit calculated?
The engine buys alpha through the pool at today's reserves (or OTC at the discount), grows it with the staking APY and the owner emission share month by month, then sells back into the pool at the exit price you set. Net return is what comes back minus what you put in.
Who holds the collateral, and when is it released?
A known escrow named on the term sheet, in their own coldkey. The owner sends the collateral there after both sides sign, Empect confirms the transfer from the chain, and the escrow sends it back at term end, again confirmed from the chain. After 30 days without a payout the investor can claim what is outstanding from it.
Does the platform ever hold funds?
No, and it never takes anyone's word for a transfer either. Every stake, payment, collateral deposit and payout is made between the parties' own coldkeys with their own wallets. Empect knows what each deal expects, watches the chain, and advances the deal only when the chain shows the transfer.
Who can invest?
Anyone who signs up with a coldkey that holds at least 500 τ, free or staked. The balance is read from the chain at sign-up; the coldkey is the account.
How do I sign?
With your coldkey, offline, using btcli. Empect shows the exact text and the btcli command; you paste back the signature it prints. Nothing connects to your wallet and nothing moves.
